Colouring Books

Recently colouring books have been so popular and they are sold pretty much everywhere! From being little I have always loved colouring so when I discovered that adult colouring books were coming back in I was so happy!

The book I have is called Animal Kingdom - A Colouring Book Adventure by Millie Marotta. Every illustration is absolutely gorgeous and I really enjoy taking my time to colour them in.

According to research colouring is a good stress reliever and I actually think this is true. Within the last few months I have been extremely busy with uni work and placement and I have found that colouring has really helped me to wind down after a busy day. It really makes you focus on what you are doing and forget the world around you. I also really like to date the picture when I've finished so that I can look back at it and know when I completed it.

Another thing I love about it is that you can really make it your own. Every person will complete the picture differently and there is no limit to what colours or style of colouring you can use. It is very important to take time for ourselves these days so if you haven't got a colouring book give it a go and see how you get on. Also make sure you buy some good quality crayons so that the colours are bolder and easier to use, this makes a huge amount of difference.

Happy Sunday!
