Lip Saviours

Even though we are now supposed to be in spring the winter weather is still attacking us with a vengeance. This means dry hair, skin, and most importantly lips. My lips are normally quite dry anyway so this weather is not making them any better, so here are a couple of products I use to keep dry skin at bay.

Lush Lip Scrub in Bubblegum
The first product I love are the lip scrubs from Lush. I have the bubblegum one and it smells amazing. To use them you take some out of the jar and rub them on your lips, this acts as an exfoliant and removes any excess dry skin, plus (and this is the best bit) you can lick it off after use and it tastes as good as it smells.
You can also get the lip scrubs in popcorn and mint flavour so there is something to suit everyone is you don't want the sickly sweetness of the bubblegum lip scrub. It costs £5.50 but it does last a really long time so if you're slightly put off by the price, don't be because it does last plus it really works a treat.

Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose
The second products which I love for dry lips is the lip butter from Nivea. To match my Bubblegum lip scrub I have the lip butter in Raspberry Rose which smells just like sweets. This is probably one of the best lip balms I have ever used as it really seems to moisturise my lips better than other lip balms such as Vaseline. The only downside to this product is the colour it leaves on your lips. If I apply a good amount it makes my lips a really light pink colour which completely washes me out and makes me look almost dead or ill, but if you just apply a small amount then it looks fine. I tend to apply it when I start putting my make up on and this means that by the time I am done it looks fine, plus it also works great as a base for lipstick as it moistures the lips. The lip butter also come in vanilla and caramel and at £2.10 there is no reason to not pick it up and try it.
